Let numerator be x
then fraction = x/(2x+4)
ATQ
=> (x-6)/(2x+4-6) = x/12x
=> (12x-72) = 2x-2
=> 12x-2x = -2+72
=> 10x = 70
=> x=7
Then fraction =
7
_____
18

Hiii friend,
Let the Numerator of the fraction be X.
Then the denominator of the fraction = 2X+4
Therefore,
Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = X/2X+4
Numerator of the fraction reduced by 6 therefore, Numerator become (X-6)
And,
Denominator is also reduced by 6 then denominator become (2X+4-6) = (2X-2)
According to question,
2X-2 = 12(X-6)
2X -2 = 12X - 72
12X -2X = 72-2
10X = 70
X = 70/10
X = 7
Numerator = X = 7
And,
Denominator = (2X+4) = 2 × 7 + 4 = 18
Therefore,
Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = (X)/2X+4 = 7/18

12X -2X = 72-2
10X = 70
X = 70/10
X = 7
Numerator = X = 7
And,
Denominator = (2X+4) = 2 × 7 + 4 = 18
Therefore,
Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = (X)/2X+4 = 7/18
