Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the numerator be x

and the denominator be y

Hence fraction will be in the form of x÷y

ATQ

2x + y = y ---- (i)

x-6÷ y-6 = x÷12x

x-6÷ y-6 = 1÷12 ---- (ii)

From (ii)

12 (x-6) = y-6

12x -72 = y-6

12x = y-6 +72

12x = y+66

x = y+66÷12 --- (iii)

Putting the value of x in (i) we get;

2(y+66÷12) + 4 = y

2y + 132÷12 + 4 = y

y= 2y+132+48÷12

y= 2y+136÷12

12y - 2y = 136 + 48

10y = 180

y= 180÷10= 18

Putting the value of y in (iii) we get;

x = 18+66÷12

x= 84÷12

x= 7

Therefore; Fraction = 7÷12
