The denominator of a fraction is 4 more than
twice the numerator. Denominator becomes
12 times the numerator, if both the numerator
and denominator are reduced by 6. Find the
fraction.

Let the numerator be x and denominator be y

y=3x+4

y-3x=4

-3x+y=4

3x-y=-4 eqn no 1

(y-6)=(x-6)12

y-6=12x-72

12x-y-72+6=0

12x-y=66 eqn no 2
