so the denominator is 2x+4
so the fraction is : $\frac{x}{2x+4}$
 when 6 is decreased frm both numerator and denominator 
fraction becomes : $\frac{x-6}{2x-2}$

2x-2=12(x-6)
⇒2x-2=12x-72
⇒10x=70
⇒x=7
so the fraction is 7/18
