The denominator of a fraction is 5 more than the numerator. but if we can subtract 2 from numerator and denominator of fraction we get 1/6. find the fraction

Again, if we subtract 2 from the numerator and denominator, then we get 1/6. So,

(A-2)/(A+5–2)=(1/6)

>>6A-12=A+3

>>5A=15

>>A=3

Using the value of A, (1) becomes

(A-2)/(A+3)=1/6
