x+3/x+5-3=13/12

x+3/x+2=13/12

cross multiplication

12(x+3)=x+2(13)

12x+36=13x+26

transpose

12x-13x=26-36

-1x=-10

cancellation (-) and(-) cancel

x=10

x=10/1
