ATQ, the denominator of a fraction is greater than it's numerator by 12.

let the numerator of the fraction be x.

therefore denominator of the fraction is = x + 12

if the numerator is increased by 2 and denominator by 7 then the fraction is equivalent to 1/2

therefore (x + 2)/(x + 12 + 7) = 1/2

==> (x + 2)/(x + 19) = 1/2

==> 2(x + 2) = x + 19

==> 2x + 4 = x + 19

==> 2x - x = 19 - 4

==> x = 15

hence, the fraction is = x/x+12 = 15/27 = 5/9

HOPE THIS HELPS..!!

☺️☺️Hey mate! here's your answer!☺️☺️

let x be the numerator.

so, denominator = x + 12

and if,

numerator = x + 2

and, denominator = x + 12 + 7 = x + 19

so, According to the question,

 \frac{x + 2}{x + 19}  =  \frac{1}{2}

2(x + 2) = 1(x + 19)

2x + 4 = x + 19

2 x  - x = 19 - 4

x = 15

thus, numerator = 15

and, denominator = 15 + 12 = 27

thus, fraction = 15/27 = 5/9

✌️hope it is helpful ✌️!
