So Denominator is x +2

$\frac{x + 4}{x + 2 + 9} = \frac{1}{2} \\ \\ 2(x + 4) = 1(x + 11) \\ \\ 2x + 8 = x + 11 \\ \\ 2x - x = 11 - 8 \\ \\ x = 3$
