Let the numerator be x.
If Denominator is more than numerator by 12=x+12
x/x+12.....(I)
IF THE NUMERATOR IS DECREASED BY 2 AND DENOMINATOR IS INCREASED BY 7 .THE NEW FRACTION IS 1/2.
SO,
x-2/x+12+7=1/2
x-2/x+25=1/2
2x-4=x+25
2x-x=25+4
x=29
Hence fraction =(I)
=x/x+12
=25/37
