Answer:

The denominator of a fraction is 4 more than its numerator

so

let numberator be x

then denomintor is x +4

now,

on subtracting 1 from each the number and the denominator.the fraction become 1/2

lets form an equation

x  - 1/ (x + 4)  -1 = 1/2

x  - 1/ x + 3 = 1/2

lets cross multiply

2(x - 1) = 1(x + 3)

2x - 2 = x +3

2x - x = 2 +3

x = 5

now denominator is x +4

= 5+4 = 9

so fraction is 5/9

Answer:

kindly see the answer below...

Step-by-step explanation:

Here,

let the original fraction be

 =  \frac{x}{x + 4}

then, according to the question..

here \:  \:  \frac{x - 1}{x + 4 + 3}  =  \frac{1}{3}

or \:  \: 3x - 3 = x + 7

or \:  \: 2x = 10

or \:  \: x = 5

so, the original fraction is

 =  \frac{x}{x + 4}

 =  \frac{5}{9}

thanks a lot...
