The denominator of a fraction is greater yhan the numerator by 8. If the numerator is increased by 17 and denominator is increased by 1 the number obtained is 3/2 find the fraction

As we have let that x/y is the original fraction and get the value of x=23 and y=31 therefore answer is 23/31
