the denominator of a fraction is one more than twice of its numerator if 2 is added to the denominator the fraction becomes 1 /3 find the fraction​

Answer:

let numerator be x

therefore denominator becomes 1 + 2x

now by question,

x/1+2x +2 = 1/3

= x/3+2x = 1/3

= 3x = 3+2x

= 3x - 2x = 3

= x = 3

hence numerator is 3

and denominator is 1+6 = 7

therefore the fraction is 3/7
