GIVEN :-

  • Denominator of a fraction is two more than its numerator .
  • When one is added to the denomiator , the fraction becomes  \sf\dfrac{3}{4} .

TO FIND :-

  • The fraction

SOLUTION :-

  Let ,

   Numerator = x

   Denominator = x + 2

   According to the question ,

                 \sf\dfrac{x+1}{x+2}=\dfrac{3}{4}

     \longrightarrow \sf 4(x+1)=3(x+2)\\\\\longrightarrow 4x+4=3x+6\\\\\longrightarrow 4x-3x=6-4\\\\\longrightarrow x = 2

  • Numerator = 2
  • Denominator =  4

Solution :-

Let,

Numerator = x.

Denominator = x + 2.

Now, It is Given that,

  • If one is added to the denominator, the fraction becomes 3/4.

So, The Equation Formed :-

 \sf{\dfrac{x}{x +2 + 1}  =  \dfrac{3}{4} }

 \sf{\dfrac{x}{x + 3} =  \dfrac{3}{4}  }

Do Cross Multiplication.

\sf{4(x) = 3(x + 3)}

\sf{4x = 3x + 9}

\sf{4x - 3x = 9}

\boxed{\bf\red{x = 9}}

So,

Numerator = x = 9.

Denominator = x + 2 = 11.

So, The Fraction :- 9/11.
