Step-by-step explanation:

Let numerator be x and denominator be x+7.

According to the question: \frac{x + 1}{x + 7 - 1}  =  \frac{1}{2}

 \frac{x + 1}{x + 6}  =  \frac{1}{2}

2(x + 1) = x + 6

2x + 2 = x + 6

x = 4

Hope this Helps....
