the denominator of a rational number is greater than numerator by 6 if the numerator increases by 9 and denominator decreases by 3 the new rational number obtained is 5/2 find the number​

Now as per the question ,

x+9/x+6-3 =5/2

x+9/x+3=5/2

now we will do cross multiplication,

2(x+9)=5(x+3)

2x+18=5x+15

2x-5x=15-18

-3x=-3

3x=3

x=3/3=1

therefore numerator =x=1

and denominator =x+6 =1+6=7
