let the numerator be x
then denominator is x+3

according to the question,
x+7/x+3-1 = 3/2

x+7/x+2 = 3/2

on cross multiplying ,

(x+7)2 = (x+2)3

2x + 14 = 3x + 6

x = 8

on substituting , the original number is 8/11
