Let the numerator = x

So, x/x+7 is the original rational number.

Adding 2 to denominator and subtracting 3 from numerator

x - 3/ x + 9 = 1/5

Cross multiplying

5x - 15 = x + 9

4x = 24

x = 24/4

x = 6

Original rational number is

6/13

6/13 is the original rational number
