Step-by-step explanation:

Let the numerator be x

and denominator = x + 8

now,

numerator = x + 17

denominator = x + 8 -1

= x + 7

a/q,

= x + 17/x + 7. = 3/2

= 2(x + 17) = 3(x + 7)

= 2x + 34 = 3x + 21

= 3x - 2x. = 34 - 21

= x. = 13

hence, numerator = x = 13

denominator = x + 8 = 13 + 8. = 21

so, rational number = 13/21
