let the numerator be x
then
x/ x+3 is our number
according to question...
(x-3)/(x+3+2) is 1/5
(x-3)/(x+5)=1/5
by cross multipltcation....
5x-15=x+5
5x-x=5+15
4x=20
x=20/4=5
thus, we have to find x/x+3 I.e....
it is 5/8
so our ans is 5/8
I hope that this will help you.
