let the numerator of the fraction be = x

so the given fraction can b represented as.......  x / x+4                  equation... 1

then acc. 2 the ques........

♦♦     (x + 11) / (x + 4) -1   =   7 / 3

♦♦      (x + 11) /  (x + 3)   =   7 / 3

on cross multiplyin the eq.1. we get---

♦♦   3x + 33 = 7x + 21

♦♦   33 - 21 = 7x -3x

♦♦   12 = 4x

♦♦   x = 3

now, putting the value of x,we get.....

♦♦  3 / 3+4

♦♦ 3 / 7

hope it helps u:-)
