Heya !!!

Let the Numerator of rational Number be X.

Then denominator of fraction = (X+8)

Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = X/X+8

According to question,

X + 17 / X + 8 -1 = 3/2

X+17/X+7 = 3/2

2(X+17) = 3(X+7)

2X + 34 = 3X + 21

3X - 2X = 34 - 21

X = 13

Numerator = X = 13

and,

Denominator = X + 8 = 13+8 = 21

Therefore,

Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = 13/21

Hello Dear!!!

Here's your answer...

Let,

The numerator is x

The denominator is x+8

Numerator is increased by 17

numerator is x+17

Denominator is decreased by 1

denominator is x+7

Number is 3/2

x+17/x+7= 3/2

Cross multiplication

2(x+17) = 3(x+7)

2x + 34 = 3x + 21

34-21 = 3x-2x

13 = x

numerator is 13

denominator is 13+8 = 21

The fraction is 13/21
