The denominator of a rational number is greater than its numerator by 7. If the new number becomes 2. Find the original number

Answer:

Let the numerator be x

Then,denominator =x+7

A/Q x÷x+7=2

X=2x+14

-x=14

x=-14

Hence,numerator =-14

denominator =-14+7=-7

original number=-14/-7=2
