Let the numerator be x

[As given] denominator = x+8

Required fraction=x/x=8

Now,

[As given] numerator=x=+17

denominator=x+8-1

                    = x+7

New fraction=x+17/x+7

x+17/x+7=3/2

2[x+17] = 3[x+7]

[We should cross multiply the denominators and ps: the sign won't change]

2x+34=3x+21

2x-3x=21-34

-1x=-13

x=-13/-1

∴x=13

numerator=x

               =13

denominator=x+8

                    = 21

And so the required fraction = 13/21

Hope this answer would help you

Solution :

Let the numerator be x then denominator will be (x+8).

According to the question,

(x+17)/(x+8-1)=3/2

⇉(x+17)/(x+7)=3/2

⇉2(x+17)=3(x+7)

⇉2x+34=3x+21

⇉34-21=3x-2x

⇉13=x

The rational number is x/x+8=13/21.

Hope it helps uh... ❤️
