Let the numerator and denominator be x and y respectively

According to question, we get

y =  x \: + 10

And

 \frac{x + 1}{y  - 1}  = \frac{x + 1}{x + 10 - 1}  =  \frac{x + 1}{x + 11}

Hence, the expression is

 \frac{x + 1}{x + 11}
