if 5 is added to the numerator which is 11 we will we will subtract 5 from 11 which is equal to 6 and if 6 is the numerator, than denominator will be less than 6 by 5 numbers so we will subtract 5 from6 which is equal to 21 so the answer will be 6 upon 1 =6.

Let the numerator be x  Fraction is = x/x-5 When 5 is added to the numerator Fraction becomes = x+5/x-5 This fraction is equal to 11/6 x+5/x-5=11/6 6(x+5)=11(x-5) 6x+30=11x-55 6x-11x=-55-30 -5x= -85 x=85/5 x=17 Original fraction is x/x-5 17/17-5=17/12
