Hii friend
Let the Numerator of the fraction be X
Then ,the denominator = 2X+4.
Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = X/2X+4
Numerator and Denominator is decreased by 6 then the numerator and denominator becomes (X-6) and (2X+4-6) = (2X-2)
Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = (X-6)/(2X-2)
According to question,
(2X-2) = 12(X-6)
2X-2 = 12X -72
12X-2X = 72-2
10X = 70
X = 70/10
X = 7
Numerator = X = 7
And,
Denominator = (2X+4) = 2 × 7 +4 = 18
Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = 7/18
