Let the numerator be x

then the denominator is x+7

then the number is x/x+7

ATQ, x+17-6/x+7=2

Or, x+11/x+7=2

After this step we have to do cross multiplication

Or, x+11=2(x+7)

Or, x+11=2x+14

Or, x-2x=14-11

Or, -x=3

Or, x=-3

You can check the value answer by putting the value in the equation do it on your own

Therefore the value of the numerator x is -3

then the denominator x+7=-3+7=4

The original no = x/x+7 = -3/-3+7 = -3/4

I have used or in the equation instead of or you can use imply sign its up to you and your school
