let numerator be x then denominator will be x+8
x+17/x+8-1=3/2
x+17/x+7=3/2
2{x+17}=3{x+7}
2x+34=3x+21
34-21=3x-2x
13=x
x/x+8=13/21

Heya.....
Here's your answer.....
Let numerator = x
Denominator = x + 8
New numerator = x + 17
New denominator = x + 8 - 1 = x + 7
x + 17 / x + 7 = 3 / 2
2 ( x + 17 ) = 3 ( x + 7 )
2x + 34 = 3x + 21
2x - 3x = 21 - 34
-1x = -13
x = 13/1
x = 13
Numerator = x = 13
Denominator = x + 8 = 13 + 8 = 21
13 / 21 is your answer....
Hope it will help u.......
Here's your answer.....
Let numerator = x

x + 17 / x + 7 = 3 / 2
2 ( x + 17 ) = 3 ( x + 7 )
2x + 34 = 3x + 21
2x - 3x = 21 - 34
-1x = -13
x = 13/1
x = 13
