the denomintor of rational number is greater than its numerator by 7if 3 is subtracted from the numerater and 2 is added to its denomintor the new number decame 1by5 find the rational number .​

let the numerator be x .then denominator will be x+7

now A/Q we have,

x-3/x+7+2=1/5

on solving the equation we get,

x-3/x+9=1/5

5x-15=x+9

4x=24

X=6(numerator)

X+7=6+7=13(denominator)

therefore the rational number is 6/13
