The densest metal,osmium, has a density of 22.59g/cm³. How many times is it denser than
(i) water at 4°C (ii)iron

  • Density of iron = 7.8 g/cm³.

  • Density of osmium (as given in question) = 22.59 g/cm³.

So, osmium is 22.59/1 = 22.59 times more denser than water (at 4°C).

Similarly, osmium is 22.59/7.8 = 2.89 times more denser than iron.
