Answer:

the density of material in cgs system of units is 4g/cm3 in a system of units in which unit of length is 10 cm and unit of mass is 100g what will be the value of density of material? therefore the density of material will be 40 g/cm3.

Hope l help you...

Given : Density of a material in cgs system is 10 gcm-3

To Find : new value of density

Solution :

In CGS

\[d = 10\frac{{gm}}{{c{m^3}}}\]

If unit of mass is 100 g, 10 g mass in new units is \[\frac{{10}}{{100}}units\].

and unit of distance is 10 cm, 1 cm in new units is \[\frac{1}{{10}}units\].

Thus,

\[Density = \frac{{10\left( {\frac{{gm}}{{100}}} \right)}}{{{{\left( {\frac{1}{{10}}cm} \right)}^3}}} = \frac{{\frac{{10}}{{100}}}}{{\frac{1}{{1000}}}} = 100units\]

Hence, new value of density is 100 units.
