Density of metal= 10× 10³kg/m³
Density of water = 10³kg/m³
We know that realative density is know as density with respect to density of water,
So,
Relative Density of metal = (Density of metal)/Density of water
.·. Relative Density of metal = (10.8×10³)/10³
= 10.8
Note:-
1. There is known unit of realative density as it is Ratio of same units (Density)

3. Relative Density can also be taken with respect to other metal but it should be mentioned.

Relative density :- mass of volume of substance/ mass of volume of water.
Density of metal :- 10.8 x 10³ kg/m3 = 10800
Density of water :- 997
Relative density :- 10800/997 = 10.83
