The Density ρ of a piece of metal of mass m and volume v is given by the formula
ρ = (m/v)
if,
m = (300±0.01) gm, v = (150±0.01) cm³
Then find percentage error in ρ.

Explanation:

given

row = m/v

where

m = (300 + 0.01)mg

v = (150 + 0.01)cm^3

row original value = 300/150= 2mg

row error = 0.01/0.01= 1cm^3

Now

q = (2+1)mgcm^3

we know that

percentage error in q = 1*100/2= 50%
