dencity of ice 0.9g/cm3
hence mass of 1cm3 of ice = 0.9g
density of water = 1g/ cm3
hence mass of 1cm3 of water is 1g
hence area under water will be 0.1 cm3

Answer:

density of ice =0.9g/cm^3

density of water =1g/cm^3

By law of floatation the fraction of volume of ice above the water surface= density of water/density of ice

=1/0.9

= 1/10 part of ice is above the surface of water
