The density of ice is 0.9g/cm3. When it float in water , what fraction of its volume will remain above surface?

This is equal to the liquid weight that is being displaced, while the solid chunk gets immersed into it.

In case of ice above water the calculation is done like below.

We have,

Water's density = 1g/cm3

fraction is 0.9/1 = 0.9.
