The density of ice is low than water and if we keep water in ice plate and freeze it then the volume of ice is more than water then how the density of ice is low?

As the volume increases the density decreases and vice versa. So due to anomalous expansion of water the volume of ice increases when kept in an ice plate as compared to that of water.So density is less.
