The density of metal is 10.8 ×10³ kg/m³. Find the relative density of the metal.

Given,

Density of metal= 10× 10³kg/m³

Density of water = 10³kg/m³

We know that realative density is know as density with respect to density of water,

So,

Relative Density of metal = (Density of metal)/Density of water

.·. Relative Density of metal = (10.8×10³)/10³

= 10.8

Note:-

1. There is known unit of realative density as it is Ratio of same units (Density)

2. We user relative density as it is easy to remember.

3. Relative Density can also be taken with respect to other metal but it should be mentioned.
