"       The Amazon basin is very low populated because of the rainforest and is very dense. Rainforests are not a very friendly environment for humans because of the lack of fresh water, dangerous animals, lack of solid ground, lack of dry shelter, skeeters, limited fuel and food sources and difficult to survive.

The trees form a dense leafy roof that does not even allow sunlight to penetrate the forest as it rains throughout the year Some people are lived here. People here cut a couple of trees and grow the land according to their need. Men’s do fishing and hunting, while the crops and fields are taken care of by women. The land near the Amazon River is very fertile, making it a good place for agriculture. People live here in special houses called Maloca. These houses have steep sloping roofs and are large and in shape. "
