For a floating body according to law of floatation,
Weight of the body = Upthrust provided by liquid
=> Volume of solid*density of solid*gravitational acceleration = Volume of solid submerged*density of liquid*gravitational acceleration
By rearranging the the variables we get,
Volume of solid submerged/Total volume of solid = density of solid/density of liquid
Substituting the variables,
(2x/3)/(x) = (0.6)/density of Liquid
=> density of liquid = (0.6*3)/2
= 0.9 g/cm^3
