Hello friend,

Here is the answer to your question : -

Given:
Density of Turpentine = 840 kg/m^3
Density of Water = 1000 kg/m^3

To Find:
Relative density of Turpentine

Solution:

Since,
Relative density is the ratio of density of a substance to the density of Water at 4°C

So,

Relative Density Of Turpentine = (840/1000) = 0.84

Note : There is no unit of Relative density.

So,

The relative density of Turpentine = 0.84

Hope it helps

Relative density = density of substance /density of water at 4°c
So, 840/1000
0.84 is the relative density
