The density of water is 1.00 g/mL. Carbon tetrachloride is insoluble in water. Would carbon tetrachloride float on water or sink beneath water when they are combined?

the density of carbon tetra chloride is 1.59 g/ml
As the density of carbon tetra chloride is more than water, water forms a layer above carbon tetra chloride.
In other words, carbon tetra chloride sinks beneath water when they are combined.
