the depletion of groundwater is faster than its recharge what is causing such a high rate of depletion what is preventing quick recharge of aquifers​

1) Due to lack of soil ground, everywhere nowdays we are building roads,home and factories. so there is little Bare ground in metropolitan cities.and everywhere there is concrete, so water can't recharge itself.and donot seeps through ground.

2)due to lack of ponds, rivers, etc in our country we are dumping our ponds, river for making buildings, schools,etc.

3) and there is little water harvesting system in India,which is limited to particular region.
