According to me,The crime can seriously effect a city's image.It is quite normal that everyone wants to stay in a safe place and want their loved ones to be in a safe place.If a city has a image of being a place full of criminals then no one would like to stay their for safety of their families.Crime also tarnished the image of the judiciary system of that place.We also want to know that if it is their duty that they would protect
the citizens.How can police be so helpless that with all their weapons also they cannot control the criminals.
As about the media,it has both positive and negative impacts.Due to the rise of technology they get a better platform to inform the people about the happenings in the society.But they also have a negative side as they intrude the privacy and try to gather more information but irritating the police due to their constant questions.

Detailed description of crime with videos does affect the mindset of people.  For example, earlier splashing Acid on a girl’s face was not prevalent.  But, one such media news has created many of them trying it out and spoiling the life of the other.  I think it started with Kiran Bedi as a vendetta but a young girl’s life was spoiled just because she did accept the proposal.  Media should have ethics in telecasting certain vulnerable news.
