is true that for saving our environment from destruction ad disaster preservation of forests and trees are a must. But developing countries are cutting down trees and forests for expanding agriculture to meet the rising demand of food as its population is vast and growing rapidly.Developing countries with large population need to focus on those methods of agriculture that can be grown on small holdings like intensive agriculture.

In intensive subsistence agriculture the farmer cultivates a small plot of land using simple tools and more labour. Climate with large number of days with sunshine and fertile soils permit growing of more than one crop annually on the same plot. 
In this way forests can be preserved and food security can also be maintained in developing countries.
