The rainforests are depleting due to following reasons:
→ The indigenous population was pushed out for the developmental activities which is leading to the the destruction of the rainforests.
→ Large scale deforestation for construction of roads, industries and houses.
→ For getting wood from forests in order to increase economical profit.

vijaykarthic12VJ: 1.People go on cutting forests for their own purpose withouting thinking about the result in future.
2.Deforestation is prevailing at an alarmed rate.
3.Urbanisation is constantly increasing.
Hence the rainforest are depleting.

Yes they are.

As noticed that large areas of the rainforests have been disappearing yearly in the amazon basin because of human settlements or activities. The top layer of the soil washes away cause of tree cutting down as men have settled down in the forests and thus it (forest land) is now turning to barren landscape
