The diagnal of a rectangle is 1 meter more than its length and breadth is 1 meter less than it's length Find length and breadth?​

Answer:

let length be x cm

diagonal = x + 1 cm

breadth = x - 1 cm

diagonal = √l² + b²

  x + 1 = √x² + (x-1)²

  x² +1 + 2x = x² + x² + 1 - 2x

  x² =4x    =>  x = 4cm

Therefore,     Length = 4cm &

                      Breadth = 3cm
