let the diagonal of cube is d =5√5 cm

and side of cube is a

than

using pithagoras theorem

a^2+a^2=d^2

2a^2=d^2

a=√((d^2)/2)

surface area of the cube = a^2=(d^2)/2=((5√5)^2)/2

= 125/2=62.5 cm square
