The diagonal of a quadrilateral is 30 cm and the length of the perpendiculars to it
from the opposite vertices are 12 cm and 18 cm, find the area of the quadrilateral.

Answer:

          Given that :-

• Length if diagonal = 30 cm

• Length of perpendicular = 8 cm and 10 cm .

So ,

area of quadrilateral =

1 / 2 * length of diagonal ( sum of perpendiculars )

= 1 / 2 * 30 * ( 8 + 10 )

= 15 * 18

= 270 cm²
