The diagonal of a quadrilateral shaped field is 48 m and the perpendiculars dropped on it from the
remaining opposite vertices are 16 m and 26 m. Find the area of the field.​

area of triangle = 1/2×base×hieght .

area of triangle 1 = 1/2×16×48 = 384m²

area of triangle 2= 1/2×26×48 =624 m²

area of quadrilateral =A1+A2 = 384+624 = 1008 m².
