root(l^2 + b^2) =5
root(4^2 +b^2)=5
16+b^2=25
b^2=25-16
b^2=9
b=3
area= l×b
area=4×3

Here is ur answer......
Let ,other side of rectangle be x.
Diagonal²=length²+width²
5²=4²+x²
25=16+x²
25-16=x²
9=x²
√9=x
3=x
Hence ,Area=l×w
⇒4×3
⇒12cm²
